Which is better? A titanium or ceramic hair Straightener?

just wanted to know.Which is better? A titanium or ceramic hair Straightener?
Ceramic flat irons are powerful tools for making hair perfectly straight and smooth. Ceramic tends to be much better than other flat iron surfaces, such as gold-plated metal or chrome. Ceramic is the preferred material for flat irons because its surface does not tug, catch, or pull on hair. Therefore, there is less breakage and hair damage than with other types of flat iron surfaces.

Ceramic flat irons are also desirable because their surface area can become uniformly hot. Other metal flat irons may have some surfaces that heat up faster than others. The even, high heat that is provided by ceramic flat irons allows for hair that is sleek and stick-straight in appearance. Even permed or naturally curly hair can be made completely straight with the right ceramic flat iron.Which is better? A titanium or ceramic hair Straightener?
ceramic it works on my hair it can work on anybodys
CERAMIC

THE PLATES STAY HOTTER, MAKES YOUR SHINNY, AND THEY LAST LONGER
Titanium = bad.

Ceramic = good.

Tourmaline = better. (Try the Solia!)
Ceramic holds heat better and doesn't damage the hair as much.
Ceramic
I have a ceramic hair straightener and it works perfectly and I have very curly hair. :P

Also don't bother buying a straightener under 200 they're crap and not worth the money, your best bet is to purchase one from a salon. It's worth it believe me!
I think it's ceramic :)
titanium!! DEFINITELY. thats what i use haha.
Ceramic...it prevents frizz. Try the CHI, it works miracles. You can also try Hardcore.
ceramic for sure
neither, both damage your hair in the long run!(i should know i'm a hairdresser)!! but if you absolutly need 1 then ceramic is better.

I heard that Infinity by Conair Professional Heat Solid Ceramic Hair Straightener?

Works really good! I dont know i really need a new hair straightner. Do u think it works good? I dont want to spend alot of money like $200 on a hair straightner!I heard that Infinity by Conair Professional Heat Solid Ceramic Hair Straightener?
I use to own it but I returned it because it didn't really work on my thick wavy frizzy poofy hair The results I got was poofy straight hair and it had started to snag and tug my hair on the corners of the plates I bought a Solia from folica.com and it was $88 and sh and tax was free.

Another bad thing was that it was heavy I don't care what anyone says after a while of straightening it does get heavy and Solia is so light try to get a professional one.

I'm not telling you to get a Solia or pushing a Chi on you like other people do but Conair really isn't that goodI heard that Infinity by Conair Professional Heat Solid Ceramic Hair Straightener?
NO! it is no were as good as the CHI hair stragitener, It dies in about a year and all it does is straigten your hair. CHI Straightens your hair and makes it softer and shiner. Also its less expenceive its only $150 but sometimes you can find it for only $100. It is a professinal straightener so in canada it is only for professinal use. =]

conair has a really nice one for $30. It has a 2 in. plate.
It's by a brand called Chi.

I straighten my hair everyday with it, and it makes my hair so smooth, and way shiney! It's about $150. I swear it's worth anything!
The CHI is the best I have ever used. It is around $125. Gets really hot and straightens very quickly. The is also a Paul Mitchell one on the market for around $140. I like the CHI better though. They make different size plates for the CHI.

  • I have a Hot Tools Ceramic hair straightener. few years old, i clean it, smells like feet. replace it?

I have to clean it every few days because it makes my hair greasy and static. i use a baby wipe- which could be the problem- but i was never sure what to use to clean it. so recently after i plug it in and it gets warm my whole bathroom smells like stinky feet- and its only when the straightener is in. should i replace it?I have a Hot Tools Ceramic hair straightener. few years old, i clean it, smells like feet. replace it?
Hi. no need to replace your flat iron. If its lasted you that long it is obviously a good one. Hot Tools is what I use in the salon. All you have to do to clean it is moisten a steel wool pad. and just scrub of the plates with it.

BTW I have a hot tools curling iron that I have had since beauty school... That was in 1987!I have a Hot Tools Ceramic hair straightener. few years old, i clean it, smells like feet. replace it?
well, u say its a few years old.. there are hair straighteners that actually make your hair softer and stronger!! (but they are expensive :[ ) and my hair straightener smelled weird too!.... i have nooo clue why! but, i got a new straightener, cheap, and even tho its cheap it works great and it's starting to get that smell again.. sooo i guess thats just what straighteners do when they get old :(( but i would DEFINITELY replace it! :D
haha, yes you should. I would have before I even tried cleaning it, because it's just a hassle.

Ceramic hair straightener and a regular one?

what's the difference between them?Ceramic hair straightener and a regular one?
Ceramic is a stone that locks in moisture and doesnt damage hair where a non ceramic damages your hair and gives you split ends.Ceramic hair straightener and a regular one?
^^ same as what the person said above me.

accordinq to what i kno, ceramic is better for your hair and doesn't burn it out.

some ceramics are specially made to help your hair shine.

    regular ones burn hair easily.

    [i used to have one]

    but idk other than that
ceramic wont burn wet hair it should dry it! so get a ceramic iron!
ceramic is easier on your hair and makes it shinier usually.
I think ceramic is better for your hair.
