How do you clean a ceramic hair straightener?

My straightener is a ceramic CHI straightener, and it smells horrible when I straighten my hair.





I think it's because of all the hairspray/hair styling wax I use.





So how can I clean a flat iron without ruining/damaging it?How do you clean a ceramic hair straightener?

use a damp cloth to wipe it down, then apple some rubbing alcohol to a cotton ball or pad and use it to remove what ever gunk is on the iron.How do you clean a ceramic hair straightener?
Clean it with a cloth and alcohol.
Wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth.
