Ok so there is this straightener called CORTEX really good full ceramic.. CHI is not full ceramic.. If a straightener is not ceramic then it will make you have split ends and pull your hair and burn it..
I have the CORTEX.. YOu should try it out..
CHI is not full ceramic so if you would like go over it like alot of times it will fry your hair..

no matter what any Straightener is going to burn your hair. just use protection for your hair. and there is different types of ceramic like
titanium you can maybe find one a target
but i got mine form ultra and it works great
Because it is better for your hair but the best reason is that it doesnt pull your hair!!!! it doesnt hurt.
